Computer & Video Games is reporting that the next issue of British magazine PC Zone contains an interview with Traveler's Tales development director Jonathan Smith in which he confirms the company is planning more games based on combining the Lego license with established films. Traveler's Tales is the company behind Lego Star Wars, the surprise hit that has already spawned an announced sequel/prequel covering the original trilogy of movies.
The C&VG article doesn't mention which movies will be Lego-fied, but the author is clearly hoping some sort of Lego Indiana Jones is in the pipeline. What film (or game) franchises do you think would benefit from the Lego treatment?

I had a ton of fun re-playing G-Force through my Legos... but then again, that was 25years ago. It's kinda funny how well StarWars has aged compared to others.

I'd also anticipate that they'd do a Lego game based on a license Lego already has. Of course, judging by the Lego Batwing in my living room, I think the Lego Batman game would be the best guess.
Of course, that's presuming we don't see Lego Spider-Man (there have been sets for the first two Spidey movies, and I'd expect some for the third as well).
And it wouldn't surprise me if Lego's license with DC Comics allowed for Lego Superman or Lego Justice League.
And finally, I've been seeing ads for Lego SpongeBob Squarepants. I wouldn't play it, but I could see it becoming a game.

You pretty much would have to stay on with the adventure type movies though. And LOTR and Harry Potter ain't happening, given that EA has those licenses locked up. Which is really too bad, because they would almost certainly be better games.

Lego Bruce Lee would be cool too. Take a couple of his films like Enter the Dragon and Fists of Fury and make a game out of it.

Anyways, Indie would be awesome lego style (perhaps it can actually be a great game) As for Spiderman, don't mess with something that is working.
I think what needs to be legofied is GTA. Seriously, how popular would the game be if it was exactly the same without the unneeded violence and sex? Hmmm... wait, I guess that is all the game is!

Lego Harry Potter makes sense ... but I'd like to see a Lego Knights Kingdoms (based on their own property) with an epic story a la Ultima VII/Baldur's Gate type of thing.
